Which AGE-R should you choose?

Buying Guide · Medicube Europe

Five devices, different needs. Find the one that truly fits into your routine: compare features, see how the models differ, and check compatibility before making your choice.

01 / Overview

Identify your AGE-R.

The full name matters. Mini, Plus, Pro, and X2 aren't just different colors of the same device. The photos identify the model; the accessories depend on the version you purchase.

02 / Head-to-Head Comparison

Booster Pro or Booster Pro X2?

The key question is this: Are the four modes on the Pro enough for you, or would you also use fabric masks and Dual combinations?

Consider this if: you want to incorporate sheet masks and combine different modes, and you're interested in the app's features.

Discover Booster Pro X2 →

The Pro’s “6-in-1” feature includes LED and vibration in addition to the four modes. In the X2, “7-in-1” refers to the AI feature in the app—it does not mean there are seven equivalent exercise programs. Do not compare the two devices based solely on these numbers.

I already have Booster Pro: Does it make sense to switch to X2?

Consider upgrading if you're missing specific features: Mask, Dual, and customization within the app. If, on the other hand, you're already satisfied with the Pro's modes, the new model doesn't automatically make your current one inadequate. Also compare weight, your habits, and the overall cost.

Can I use X2 without a phone?

Yes, for standard modes. AI recommendations and the configuration of Dual combinations require the AGE-R app. The official guide explains how to pair via Bluetooth: turn on the device, open the app, and select the connection to the X2 model.

03 / Compact Cars Compared

Mini Booster Pro or Mini Plus?

The practical advantage of the Plus model is the ability to build a setup with dedicated heads. Don't buy a set just because the photo shows more accessories—check the selected configuration.

The Essential Format

Mini Booster Pro

Electroporation with red and blue LEDs. In the European catalog, it is available in Pink and White; the color changes, but the package contents remain the same.

Consider this if: you're looking for a compact device to complement your skincare routine, but don't need the four modes of the Booster Pro.

Discover Mini Booster Pro →
The Modular Format

Mini Booster Pro Plus

Red, blue, and purple modes; compatible with the Cleansing Head and Face Roller Head. In the European catalog, you'll find the Pink and Beige models, available as individual devices or in sets.

Consider whether you also want to use the cleansing head or roller, and choose the appropriate set. Do not assume compatibility with the previous Mini model.

Choose the Mini Plus set →

Both are listed as 75 g in the catalog table. The weight does not reflect the dimensions or the weight of the entire set, including accessories.

04 / Another Technology

When should you consider Ultra Tune?

The RF Ultra Tune 40.68 combines radiofrequency and microcurrent. It is not a Booster Pro with multiple modes: it is a separate device, worth considering if you're looking to incorporate this type of technology into your routine.

The model is rated at 320 g. The instructions call for full contact of all six tips with continuous movement; it should be used after your skincare products have been absorbed, without a specific gel.

06 / Methods and Combinations

What do you do, and what skincare products do you use?

Open only the sections that interest you. The goals described here relate to the appearance of the skin; they are not guaranteed results or medical treatments.

Booster · TheSkincare Step:Booster Pro / X2

Stated goal: to enhance the application of skincare products and promote a radiant complexion. For the Pro version, the guide recommends using a serum or ampoule with circular motions from the inside out.

Don't confuse this step with Air Shot: Booster is applied after the cosmetics. For X2, follow the X2 instructions and do not automatically apply the Pro's layers or technique.

MC and Derma Shot · TwoDistinct Steps:Booster Pro / X2

MC is the microcurrent step; Derma Shot is designed to improve the appearance of facial contours. On the Pro model, the guide pairs these steps with skincare and specifies the recommended motion for each one.

The same numerical intensity should not be interpreted as equivalent across models. Before making a choice, consider whether you would actually incorporate both into your routine: having more options doesn't mean you have to use them all.

Air Shot · Before ApplyingMakeup: Booster Pro / X2

It is designed to address the appearance of pores and skin texture. For Booster Pro, apply it to clean, dry skin; X2 also recommends using it before your skincare routine. The guide recommends using it 2–3 times a week, not as a step to be repeated automatically every day.

If you're comparing devices because you're looking for this specific feature, check the name of the mode: the Mini isn't just a scaled-down version of the four Pro modes.

Dual and Mask · New Features of theX2Solo Booster Pro X2

Dual: Combines two modes; customization is done in the AGE-R app. Mask: For fabric masks infused with essence, not for gel masks. Do not extend this compatibility to wrapping masks or any product labeled “mask.”

So check the type of mask you have—not just the design or color of the packaging. The device can be used in standard modes even without a phone.

Mini Plus · Colors andHeads · Mini Booster Pro Plus

The manufacturer associates red with PDRN or hypochlorous acid, blue with Zero Pore or kojic acid, and purple with Collagen, Deep Vita C, or retinol. Just because products are part of the same line doesn’t mean every formula is suitable for every skin type.

  • Cleansing Head: cleansing foams and oils; avoid scrubs, peels, and particles that could damage the bristles.
  • Face Roller Head: conductive gel, such as PDRN Booster Gel; do not assume that every cream can replace it.
Original Mini and Ultra Tune · Do not copy the routine fromthe Pro. Model-specific instructions

Mini: Use it to complement your skincare routine in its own way. Refer to the Mini manual, not the Pro's four-mode sequence.

Ultra Tune: This treatment requires the skincare product to be fully absorbed, six tips in contact with the skin, and continuous movement. It does not require a specific gel. The technique differs from that of the Mini Plus roller, for which a conductive gel is recommended.

Exfoliating acids, retinol, and concentrated vitamin C require special care. The X2 guidelines recommend introducing them gradually—especially on sensitive skin—and following the instructions on the product label. Do not combine new active ingredients or multiple application methods just to speed up your routine.

07 / Before Use

A well-organized routine—nothing more complicated than that.

01 — CHOOSE THE PASSAGE

Start with a useful function.

Choose a lens and a mode that you'll use consistently. There's no need to start out by using every available feature.

02 — CHECK YOUR SKINCARE ROUTINE

Read the two instructions.

Check both the device manual and the product label. “Compatible with skincare” does not mean it is compatible with every ingredient and concentration.

03 — FOLLOW YOUR OWN EXAMPLE

Start at the indicated level.

The Pro, X2, and Ultra Tune guides recommend starting at Level 1. The duration, movements, and zones should be as specified in the manual you purchased.

In what order are the Pro modes used?

When combining them, the official guide recommends the following order: Air Shot → Booster → MC → Derma Shot. Air Shot is applied before skincare products; the other treatments are used alongside skincare.

The sequence does not mean that all steps are mandatory or must be done every day. For frequency, technique, and duration, follow the Pro guide, adapting the routine to the instructions in the manual.

How much time should I set aside?

For Pro, the guide describes the Air Shot as taking 5 minutes and the other steps as taking 5–10 minutes; for X2, it generally indicates sessions lasting 5–10 minutes, depending on the mode. These are usage times, not the time required to achieve a result.

Before you buy, decide how many sessions you would actually fit into your week. Don't automatically multiply the time by the number of modes, and don't exceed the instructions in an attempt to get faster results.

09 / Make Conscious Choices

Before adding it to your cart.

The Practical Checklist

  1. Model: Do the full name and features match what you're looking for?
  2. Routine: Would you really use the extra steps?
  3. Set: Have you checked the accessories, the cable, and the individual items?
  4. Apps: Are you interested in features that require a smartphone?
  5. Budget: Compare the total cost, including any accessories, not just the initial price.

When to Stop and Ask

If you have any skin conditions, have recently undergone treatment, are pregnant, or have implants or medical electronic devices, check the contraindications in the manual and seek professional advice before use.

This page is intended to help you compare products; it does not assess their suitability for you personally. Adjustable intensity or the phrase “for all skin types” is no substitute for taking precautions.

Do not transfer markings for the eye area, neck, or other areas from one pattern to another.

10 / Questions to Ask Before You Buy

The most useful questions to address.

Which one is best if I've never used a device before?

There is no one-size-fits-all winner. For a basic routine, compare the Mini models; if you’ve already decided to use multiple modes, check out the Pro and X2. Base your choice on the steps you’ll stick with over time, not on the highest number listed on the spec sheet. Always check the safety precautions first.

Should I choose different models based on brightness, pores, or firmness?

Start with the documented function, not a general claim: Booster is associated with the skincare step and radiance; Air Shot with skin texture and the appearance of pores; and MC and Derma Shot with other aesthetic goals. Then compare the models that include the function you’re looking for. A specific goal does not guarantee an individual result.

Does the color—pink, white, or black—affect the power?

In the different versions of the same model featured in our catalog, color is an aesthetic choice. What changes in terms of functions and contents are the model and, for the Mini Plus, the set’s configuration. “Pink Mini Plus” and “Pink Full Facial Device Set” are not the same package.

Do I have to buy all the cosmetics shown in the photos, too?

No. The images may show one or more possible combinations. Purchase only what you need for the mode you’ve chosen, and check what’s already included. If you have questions about a specific cosmetic product, provide customer service with the exact name, size, and device: the product line alone isn’t enough to confirm every possible combination.

Is a hydrogel mask compatible with the X2 Mask?

It should not automatically be considered compatible. The X2 documentation refers to fabric masks infused with essential oils and distinguishes them from gel masks. Check the mask's material and instructions before use.

Can I install a Mini Plus cartridge on the old Mini?

Do not assume that parts are interchangeable. The Cleansing and Face Roller heads described here are designed for the Mini Plus. Check the model number on the accessory and in the product description before purchasing; the name “Mini” alone does not indicate compatibility.

How many days will it take to see results?

We do not specify a universal timeframe. Session duration, consistency, and results are distinct factors. Any tests conducted by the manufacturer refer to specific conditions and protocols: they do not make a percentage or a testimonial a guarantee for every individual.

Where can I find the shipping, return, and customer service policies?

Please review the shipping terms and return policy before making a purchase. To identify a variant or clarify what’s included, use the contact page. The most up-to-date product information can be found on the relevant product pages.

Still can't decide between two models?

Let us know which products you're comparing, which step you want to add, and which cosmetics you use. We'll help you understand the differences in the products and packaging, without adding accessories you don't need.
